In 2019, voters in the TK School District approved a $42.8 million bond. Now, in 2024 the promises made for those bond funds have been kept. in November of 2019 voters in The Thorn Apple Kellogg School District generously approved a 42.8 million Bond the request for the Bond was made after a comprehensive 18-month review of all district facilities determining nedes estimating Community growth proposing solutions to known issues and establishing a budget this was done to set the dis up for continued success by proactively addressing needs throughout this long process the district always focused on 1 question what's best for students the bond projects were divided into 3 basic categories growth basic infrastructure and enhanced learning environments growth projects included the construction of a new state-of-the-art Early Childhood Center which opened in August of 2022 additional classrooms are constructed at each of the 3 elementary schools to address continuing growth the page Elementary and high school cafeterias were also expanded to more comfortably accommodate our students basic needs needs are not as readily visible to everyone but just as important as facilities some of the basic needs met by the bond were new roofs the replacement of doors windows and flooring as needed adding new Paving throughout the district and enhancing parking lot designs to help ease traffic congestion and improve overall flow the enhanced learning environment category included new art and music rooms at McFall Elementary upgraded technology infrastructure additional technology devices air conditioning and all instructional areas High School pool Renovations and improvements and a beautiful new complex for tennis Bond projects were all completed by the summer of 2024 and our students staff and families are enjoying the upgrades none of these improvements would have been possible without Community Support Thorn Apple Kellogg schools have a long history of strong relation with a community that is supportive of District needs and our Pursuit for excellence as a district we take pride in our community our facilities staff and most of all our students we will continue working every day encouraging and developing the greatest potential of each student thank you TK Community your support now and in the future is greatly appreciated and vital to Our Success TK Schools is an excellent place for students to learn and prepare for their futures working together we are all TK strong
