About Me
Carmen grew up in Jackson, Michigan and graduated from Lumen Christi High School. She completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Siena Heights University and then returned to Baker College for a second degree in Education. She moved to Charleston, SC for 4 years to begin her career as a 6th grade math teacher at Charleston County School of the Arts. Upon moving back to Michigan, she taught one year of 5th grade at Immaculate Heart of Mary and worked for 5 years as a middle school math intervention specialist for Michigan Virtual Charter Academy. In the fall of 2020, she joined our TK staff as a 3rd grade virtual teacher.
Carmen and her family moved to Middleville in 2015 and quickly grew to love the community. Her husband Lloyd is a firefighter for Thornapple Township Emergency Services. Her daughter, Ellison and her son, Gehrig are both TK students. Carmen enjoys spending time with her family and her Weimaraner puppy named Winnie. She also likes fitness, gardening and cooking. She is proud to be a part of the TKMS team. Go Trojans! |
