All About Mrs. English

Hello! I'm new to Thornapple Kellogg, excited to be a part of TKMS teaching 6th grade science and Insects. This is my 7th year of teaching, having taught 1st and 3rd grade previously. My alma mater is Grand Valley State University where I majored in Education and Integrated Science. At Grand Valley, my science courses were my most favorite, especially Ecology and Geology. I was even part of the National Science Teachers Association Student Chapter. Outside of teaching, in the summers I work at John Ball Zoo Summer Camp. I'm passionate about outdoor education and hands-on learning, which I'm excited to finally incorporate as a science teacher. My hope is to instill a love for science in the students and help them think critically about the world around them.
