Hello. I am a Hastings High School graduate and a lifelong resident of Barry County. Growing up I played soccer, ran cross country, and participated in plays and musicals. I also competed in BPA, Quizbowl, and FFA competitions.

I attended Hope College and graduated in 2019 with a degree in Social Studies and Elementary Education. I met many friends at Hope and my wife, Madie, a financial advisor with Edward Jones. In college, my favorite areas of study were American History, Roman History, and the science of everyday things. 

After graduating I substitute taught for a semester and then taught 4th and 5th grade at Black River in Holland, MI. I loved working with multiple ages and so I made the transition to TKMS. 

My wife and I bought a house in Freeport, MI, and have loved fixing it up. We have two Bernedoodles, Kenobi and Anakin, and they are very friendly, you will probably see us taking him for a walk if you are ever in Freeport. 

In my free time, I like to play board games, watch movies, read, travel, and watch soccer. I am always happy to share about myself if you have any questions. I am looking forward to getting to know you this year!
